Piedmont Ave Pumpkin Patch -
The Piedmont Ave. Pumpkin Patch is celebrating its 17th year on Piedmont Ave.
The patch is open 8 am to 8 pm daily until Hallloween night. It is a wonderful patch where you'll find every type of pumpkin and a wide assortment of Halloween decorations.
It is a favorite spot to visit with friends and families. Groups of all ages gather to take photos all month long.
Over the years, a visit to the Piedmont Avenue Pumpkin Patch and Haunted House has been a tradition for many families in the Oakland/Piedmont area. "We are starting to get the children of parents who were children when they first starting visiting us", say Jon Goldstein and Robbin Lee who have been running the patch on Piedmont Avenue since 1996.
Also, class field trips from many schools, preschools and nursing homes are a big hit each other with Goldstein leading a tour of the patch and showing off the varieties of pumpkins and taking the kids on the non-scary version of the haunted house.
If your group can't make it to the patch, they'll bring the patch to you. For over a dozen years, they have been delivering and setting up pumpkin patches at schools and businesses all over Oakland and the Bay Area.
